Moving on? Not Without a Transition Plan

With the New Year just underway, now is a great time for every business leader to consider different approaches to their organization’s transition strategy. For many firms, the default is to establish an efficient succession plan. For others, mergers and acquisitions is the pursued path forward.

According to a recent Thomson Reuters report, 63% of business owners don’t have an exit plan in place. As the oldest members of the Baby Boom generation retire in larger numbers, businesses need to focus full attention on creating a successful transition so their companies will continue to thrive for coming generations.

Join us on May 22nd for a panel discussion focused on the lifecycle of a transition. The panelists will include Keith Carlson, Director of M&A Advisory Services at VonLehman, as well as BB&T’s Chad Forsberg and Nathan Duncan, Business Transition and Financial Planning Strategists, with Kelvin Stroupe as moderator.

The panel will address the following areas and more:

  • What transition issues businesses and business owners are facing today
  • Where does a well-planned transition begin
  • Why now is a good time to sell your business
  • Why we should care about Capital Markets
  • The single biggest mistake made when companies take their business to market
  • Struggles business owners face following a transition
