About the Speakers:

Deirdre Bird has over 20 years of human resources management and management consulting experience. She works closely with clients in multiple industries on all things HR, including facilitating organizational design, succession planning, performance management, recruiting, coaching, and development. Deirdre engages with company leadership of small and mid-sized companies to develop highly customized solutions that achieve organizational goals and impact bottom-line performance. She has previous experience working for large media companies, directing and managing HR operations focused on training. What distinguishes her from others in her field of expertise is her passion for enhancing organizations’ and employees’ effectiveness through talent.

Mike Lantz is a twenty-year veteran in the talent strategy, training, coaching and leadership development space. Prior to launching ML Talent Strategies, Lantz spent nearly eight years as the Chief Learning Officer for DEFENDERS, a $550M company with 2,700 team members. Early in his tenure with DEFENDERS’, Lantz cast the vision and developed the strategy for learning & development to be the cornerstone for DEFENDERS’ growth. Before joining DEFENDERS, Mike owned and operated LQ Performance Strategies for 10 years before selling the company in 2009. LQ, a full-service talent strategy firm, served over 250 different companies in 31 industries by developing and implementing customized employee development solutions in the areas of sales and leadership.
